Whylo and a child enjoying an open storybook

A question goes in. An adventure comes out.

STEP 1

Ask their question

Try “How do bees make honey?” or bring a question from the walk home. Choose your child's age, interests, and the kind of answer you want.

STEP 2

Make it sound right for them

Review the words before making the finished story. Edit the answer, choose a tone, and adjust the length to suit your child and the moment.

STEP 3

Read, listen, and revisit

Add illustrations and AI narration, or record yourself reading. Save the finished story in your family's library on the web and iOS.

Personalized beyond a name

A three-year-old and a nine-year-old can ask the same question and need very different explanations. Set the age and interests, then choose how simple, playful, or detailed the story should be.

  • Age and interests shape the story
  • A real explanation woven into an adventure
  • Words you can review and edit
  • English and Spanish story creation
  • AI narration or your own recorded reading

See what a learning story can feel like

These complete fictional samples pair a child-friendly explanation with a read-aloud adventure. Your own creation will use the question and preferences you choose.

Before your first story

Is the story generator free?

A free account includes 3 text answers per day and 5 short AI audio stories per month, up to 3 minutes each. Optional paid features and voice-minute purchases are available in the app. All Wonder Library samples are free to read without signing up.

Can I check what my child will hear?

Yes. Use the preview to read and edit the answer before making the narrated story. AI can make mistakes, so a parent should check the explanation and whether the story suits their child.

Can we use it at bedtime?

Choose a gentle tone and a shorter story for a quiet read together. Explore our personalized bedtime stories for a calmer starting point.
